Kurzfassung englisch:
This contribution deals with singularities of stress fields at the junction between the
interface and the surface of bi-material structures as well as at sliding interfaces. Design charts are
developed which allow the quick determination of the order of such singularities and to deliver
information how singularities can be completely avoided by sometimes very slight shape
modifications. Analytical as well as computational treatments are presented.
